Rotowind Air Curtain

A revolving door acts as a low-speed fan, forcing a mass of cold air into a room with each rotation. by combining an air curtain with a revolving door system, this cold air is
prevented from entering.

Two types of tailor-made models are available. A room-side unit that is mounted above the door but blows across the inner opening and a room-side external unit that blows air across the inner opening but is mounted on the inside of the building.

It has a circular discharge jet with anodised aluminium lamellas and low noise centrifugal double inlet fans driven by an external rotor motor with built in thermal protection contact.

A standard manual controller, 7 metres of control cable and an IR handheld remote are included. Other control options available include the Clever controller or the BMS interface.

Hope University, Liverpool

“The Rotowind air curtain for revolving doors was installed by M&E Contractor, HE Simm, at the Hope University in Liverpool. The air curtain is helping to maintain internal temperatures, keeping students and staff warm at the Registry Building at the Hope Park Campus.”

ME Hotel, London

“Rotowind air curtain was selected to eliminate draughts in the lobby of the ME Hotel in The Strand, London. The stylish ME Hotel needed an air curtain solution that provided protection from draughts and was aesthetically in keeping with the minimalistic design of the hotel decor. This was achieved by recessing the unit into the suspended ceiling, producing a subtle design with a curve that matched the angles of the draught lobby.”

University College Hospital

“JS Air Curtains has supplied and installed six air curtains above the doors of the University College Hospital in London. Sets of two 1.5m stainless steel air curtains and a 2.5m curved air curtain were installed above identical doorways at both the Euston Road and Beaumont Place entrances to the hospital.”

Blue Chyp

Adam Pressland

“JS Air Curtains has provided the ideal air curtain in the Rotowind G1500E, which was designed specifically for use with revolving doors. Working closely with the JS project management department, our design team subsequently fabricated bespoke plenum covers, matching the structure of the four entrance doors, to camouflage the Rotowind units.”

Accor (Novotel London Paddington)

Didier Louis

Technical Services Manager

“Our challenge was to find a product that could provide a high level of heat requirement but not be intrusive to the hotel modern interior design. It needed to match the building structure with a fixing solution above a glass top revolving door. JS Air Curtains came back with the answer that ticked all the boxes.”
